Ivy Tech Community College says the state needs to retrain over 82-thousand workers every year to meet workforce demands.

Those are people working with non-degree credentials.

The college says around 70-percent of job openings in four in-demand industries in Indiana need additional training.

The report notes Indiana faces a workforce crisis with not enough skilled workers to staff growing industries, and the working-age population is shrinking.
