The Democratic nominee for Indiana governor is urging lawmakers to reinstate net metering.
Jennifer McCormick says that would allow small-time renewable energy producers to be able to sell excess power back to the grid.
She is also proposing new lobbying rules for utility companies.
The Indiana General Assembly passed a phased-in end to net metering in 2017.
